Cooperative Learning

 Hello everyone, this is my third and very interesting blog.πŸ˜€

Collaboration is the philosophy about how to build relationships with others, to achieve a common goal.  Working in a group means bringing about positive change.  It is an educational process that unites the interests of all group members.  Group work brings positive changes.

 The five characteristics of cooperative learning are:

 Use small groups of three or four students;

 Focus on the tasks to be performed;

 Requires group collaboration and communication;

 Assigns individual responsibilities for learning;

 Supports group compactness.

 The reason for using this method in the learning process.

 Cooperative learning takes many forms within the classroom.  Groups generally consist of three or four students, who work on a task together, so that each group member contributes to the learning process.

 Cooperative learning enhances students' learning and social skills.  Increases students' enthusiasm to achieve the best possible results in lessons.  Each student feels a necessary part of the success of the whole group.

 The ability to practice increases.  It happens that students get upset while waiting for the answers of other students in the class and as a result they lose concentration.  This leads the class to chaos and the teacher finds it very difficult to prevent it.  But if the teacher divides them into groups they are focused on achieving the best possible results.

 Increases self-confidence.  Students feel more confident, especially those who are more shy.

 Students have the opportunity to learn from each other.  They improve listening, speaking, comprehension.  Group work makes students more agile, more motivated because they feel they need to move their group forward.  The lesson becomes more interesting and enjoyable.

 Teachers have more time.  Teachers help students organize and monitor their progress.  This allows the teacher to become a facilitator of the learning process and allows students to become more accountable for their work.

 Benefits of cooperative learning:

 -Improves the understanding of the content of the course;

 Strengthens social habits;

 Encourages student decision-making skills;

 Creates an active learning environment;

 -Increases students' self-confidence;

 -Evaluates different ways of learning;

 Focus on everyone's success.

 Many associate group work with noise and lack of discipline, but if the activity, the lesson is well organized, the "noise" is productive.  Cooperative learning increases students' enthusiasm for learning and their determination to achieve success in lessons.

THANK YOU πŸ˜ƒ
